  this is a home security company based out of Plano, TX, with an office in Houston. they are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the industry.
  tom was my installer - great individual to work with. he did a full test of all the systems in the home, pointed out all potential issues & fixed them, gave recommendations on other small businesses that could help with my needs around the house, and did it all with an attitude as if this were his own home.
  spoke with john on the phone for setting up the install - another guy who was extremely nice and took time to make sure my wife and i fully understood everything we asked about.
  their rates are very reasonable, and they do cellular monitoring which i like (no landline required). i'm looking forward to doing business with this company.

  dog park + bar = awesome
  my only issue is that they don't have a hose / bath area for the dogs. after dozens of dogs are running and playing with each other, they're pretty dirty and it would make sense to have a hose area in a corner somewhere to clean them off, like every other dog park. that's the only reason i don't go there as often as i'd like -- i like for my dogs to run and play with other dogs in the dirt and mud, but i also like them to be clean before they get in the car.
  the owners are very friendly, play good music, and have great beer and wine options available.

  my favorite bar. period.
  i wish they had more servers because they are getting pretty darn popular and it can take a while to get drinks sometimes. but they're pretty crowded behind the bar already, so there's really not much you can do about that. this is an awesome neighborhood bar, and their dedication to good beer and food has helped them explode in recent years. they have really good food, also. and i'm told their coffee, wine, etc are good too but i'm there for the beer.
  the crowd that frequents this place is very laid-back, good people. families are welcome, too. if only they stayed open later...

  This place is amazing, and hidden. They have a focus on wild animal conservation, and many of their efforts are supported by, and return the favor to, zoos across the world. The cheetah rehabilitation facility is amazing, the variety of rhino's is astonishing, the service was the best i've ever experienced, and the food is phenominal. I was there in August 2011 and can't wait to return. Every staff member is friendly, well-trained, and pleasant. They cannot advertise because of rules regarding the animal conservation funds, but they have a beautiful website and they stay open through donations and guest visits. The golf course, trap shooting, archery and boat rides are absolute musts. They have many more activity options but those are the ones I had time to participate in.

  my instructor was Carl, and he's a great teacher and diver. I researched several PADI certification options and felt best about Maximum. They were close to my house, and their pricing is truly all-inclusive. You don't have to pay extra for books or gear or anything else, unless you are actually purchasing stuff. You do have to pay $30 for access to the lake for the weekend dives, but that's the same with all dive shops and its a fee to the lake staff, not the dive shop.

  There was one negative point, and I don't know that it would be any different with any other dive shops. I felt there was a lot of time wasted just sitting around, and that bugged me because that's not my M.O. Apart from that, great experience.
